Engineering
Every hospital and clinic must be served by the highest standards of medical engineering.
Every one of their medical devices must be safe to use, both for staff and patients. They must give accurate information, on which recommendations and treatment can be safely based. And they must be reliable, ready and able to give vital service whenever they’re needed.
This is the standard that Capital Medical is delivering, whether for the ward, theatre, clinic, patient’s home, radiographer, surgeon, dentist, nurse, optician or physiotherapist. In order to serve their very different needs, we offer a host of specialist services, including:
- Equipment management services. Complete turnkey
management solutions, providing and maintaining all
equipment in your hospital, clinic or department.
- Independent departmental assessments. A focused look
at your operation, through the fresh and expert eyes of senior
engineers with a minimum of 20 years’ experience in their field.
- Inventory audits. A database built from a systematic
assessment of every medical device you operate, their
suitability and any issues that need to be addressed.
- Electrical safety testing. Testing by our clinical technologists
in accordance with MDA DB 9801, BSEN 60601-1 and
manufacturers’ own guidelines.
- Preventative inspections. A structured plan of pro-active,
rather than re-active, maintenance to address potential
problems before they occur.
- Portable appliance testing. Testing under the Electrical Safety
at Work Regulations 1989/Health & Safety at Work Act 1974.
While the business of providing health services takes many forms
- from NHS and private hospitals to PCTs, device manufacturers and
major PFI constructors - one demand unites them all: the need for
safe, sound operation for patients and staff alike.
